Robin Cairns & Jenny Lindsay

Jenny Lindsay is a popular performance poet who has long since put her Maybole origins behind her. She is a familiar face around central Scotland and beyond, both in her own right and as a force behind Edinburgh’s renowned Big Word performance poetry night. Jenny also possesses some talent on the piano; sadly she will not be sharing it during her Underword gig.

Robin Cairns is a writer who turned to poetry on millennium night in Manchester Airport. Shaped by the unwavering honesty of Glaswegian audiences, he comperes a regular poetry night at the Rio Café in Partick. Often seen as a comic poet, Robin prefers to see comedy as a way to buy time and offer his tuppenceworth to the world.
